This Cookie Policy explains what ImAllergicToIt stores in your browser, and why. The short version: we store only what is strictly necessary to make the service work, and nothing else.
1. What are Cookies and Similar Technologies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device (computer, tablet, smartphone). Similar technologies, such as your browser's localStorage, also let a website keep small pieces of information on your device between visits. Both are used to make a site work, to remember your choices, and — on many sites, but not on this one — to track you.
2. No Tracking, No Analytics, No Advertising
ImAllergicToIt uses no third-party analytics, no tracking, no session replay, no advertising and no profiling. There are no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies and no tracking identifiers of any kind, and nothing about you is sent to any analytics provider.
3. What We Actually Store on Your Device
The only client-side storage the Application uses is strictly necessary for the service you have asked for:
- Authentication token — the token issued by our authentication provider (Convex) that keeps you signed in. Without it you would be logged out on every page load.
app_locale— a key in your browser'slocalStoragethat remembers the language you selected, so the Application opens in that language next time.
That is the complete list. Neither of these is used to track you, and neither is shared with any third party.
4. Why There Is No Cookie Banner
Consent is required for storage that is not strictly necessary — typically analytics, advertising and tracking. Because the two items listed in section 3 are strictly necessary to provide the service you explicitly requested, and because we operate no analytics, tracking or advertising at all, no cookie consent is required and there is no cookie banner and no consent widget. There is nothing for you to accept, refuse, or withdraw.
5. Managing Storage in Your Browser
You can always configure your browser to block or delete cookies and site data. Be aware that if you block or clear the strictly necessary storage listed above, you will be signed out and the Application will no longer remember your language preference — and, without the authentication token, you will not be able to use the parts of the service that require an account.
6. Changes to this Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, for example if the technologies we use change, or for operational, legal or regulatory reasons. The date at the top of this page always shows when it was last updated.
